The image on our homepage is the village of Brailes from Mine Hill in late summer. This is the heart of our production area and where our beehives are situated in the Warwickshire Cotswolds.
GOOD FOR YOU, GOOD FOR NATURE
The Cotswold Hills provide a varied landscape for honey production. This is our apiary on a farm near Stow on the Wold. Production here is centred on Oilseed Rape, providing oilseed for the farmer, who processes it into R-Oil. We use the honey to make our mead.
Apiary Locations
Bidford on Avon, Loxley, Halford, Shipston on Stour, Brailes, Cherington, Mine Hill, Traitors Ford, Swalcliffe, Standlake
Did you know?
Bees born during different times of year have different lifespans. Those born in Spring/Summer have busier and shorter lives- living up to 6 or 7 weeks. However, those born in Autumn (before the Queen Bee ceases laying for Winter) are predominantly there to see the colony through to next Spring - therefore potentially living for 4-6 months. Of course, this all depends on the health and size of the colony and the severity of the Winter.
Independent Cotswold Business specialising in honey, beeswax polish and mead.
